Retention Policy

1. What this policy covers
This policy describes how long we keep the backups we take of your Airtable bases, and how the number of backups we keep changes as they get older. It applies while your subscription is active. How we handle your personal data, and what happens to it when you close your account, is covered in our Privacy Policy.
2. Your history does not expire
We do not delete a backup because it is old. While your subscription is active, you keep a restore point for every quarter in which we backed up your base — however far back that goes.
What changes with age is how closely spaced your restore points are. Recent backups are kept every day. The further back you go, the more space there is between the backups we keep: weekly, then monthly, then quarterly. You always have a restore point, no matter how far back you need to go.
3. What we keep
The table below is a minimum guarantee. We may keep more — thinning runs on a schedule, so a backup that is due to be removed often remains available for a while afterwards. We will not keep less.

Manual backups you trigger yourself follow the same rules as scheduled ones.
4. Attachments
Attachment files are stored once and shared by every backup that references them, so that backing up the same file every night does not store it every night. Thinning your backup history never deletes an attachment on its own: a file is only removed once no backup we still hold refers to it.
5. What a backup contains
Each backup we keep includes your records as JSON and as Excel, your base structure in both formats, and the run log for that backup. When a backup is thinned out, all of these are removed together — you will not find a backup listed with some of its files missing.
6. Changes to this policy
If we change these rules in a way that means keeping less than what is described above, we will say so here and update the date at the top of this page before the change takes effect.
